classic indie - santa dog and the arrogants

Excuse me while I have a short Prince revival going on in my head - and we don't even get SNL in the UK.


Anyway in classic indie land there's a new EP (released in March) from Bristol's santa dog. This track sounds a little more muscular than the last, Rowena is certainly sounding a little more pissed off than before anyway. This feels to me a touch more like a move away from those Cranes comparisons and more like Garbage with Toni Haliday singing.

In another bout of classic indie we have the arrogants - who have thoughtfully got their label tweekitten to release a 24 track album for a ridiculously cheap price. They've a few tracks up at their official website, but here are my current favorites - the Sundays touched I want you and the Sarah Record-tastic Lovesick.
